The Joint Application time for Bachelor’s programmes was 8 – 22 January 2020. Here are the important dates concerning the admission procedure.

Entrance Examinations invitations

Entrance Examinations invitations are being send by email from week 9 onwards. Please remember to check your email and also you junk email (just in case).

Entrance Examinations for Tourism programme

Entrance examinations for Tourism programme outside of Finland are carried out via Finnips network. Please check the dates and venues from the Finnips pages.

Applicant Survey

All applicants that are invited to the Lapland UAS entrance examinations will receive also the Applicant survey by email. We kindly request that you fill in the survey as it will help our admissions and marketing in the future. Please notice that the Applicant survey is not the acceptance letter from the Lapland UAS. All acceptance letters are being send separately from the admissions office.

Higher education admission results

The results are announced on 5 June 2020 at the latest. Confirm your study place and send the required copies by 10 July 2020 at 15.00 pm. (Finnish time) at the latest to the higher education institution of your choice. If you do not return the confirmation form in time, you will lose your study place. Please upload the educational certificates to the application by 10 July 2020.

Residence permit

It is very important for all those, that need a residence permit to come to Finland that once you have received the acceptance letter from the institution and you have confirmed your study place in time, you start the residence permit procedure right away. Please notice, that expected processing time for electronic application (first application) is 1-3 months. Please familiarize yourself with the residence permit from the Finnish Immigration Service.

Tuition fee

Remember also to pay the tuition fee. Read more about the tuition fees in Lapland UAS.

Studies start

The academic year begins in 1 September 2020 at 10 am. Please notice that you have to be in Rovaniemi by 30 SEP 2020 at the latest, otherwise you will not be able to start your studies.
