Summer School 2016 kick-off in Tornio

International Arctic Summer School started on Monday the 30th of May on a sunny atmosphere.


At the Tornio summer school 39 students in all have enrolled. Various nationalities are well represented as there are participants from eight countries. Some students are degree students in Lapland UAS while others join the summer school as a part of their exchange studies.

Summer School on Arctic Cooperation and Cross Border Expertise brings to Tornio also lecturers from Lapland UAS’s European partner universities and Fulbright scholars from the USA.

Ms Elizabeth Whitney ja Ms Rianne Wolberink join the summer school for it’s first period. Ms Whitney is a Fulbright scholar from the USA and Ms Wolberink comes from the Fontys university of applied sciences in the Netherlands.

The summer school goes on until August 30 and during which 30 ETCS of study modules are offered. The main study topics are cross-cultural management, digitalisation and ICT-services and international marketing.
