My Story - Call for applications until 10 June 2020

The My Story project is looking for applications from small scale companies within the tourism industry to be part of the project "My Story - Along the Northern Lights Route".

My Story is a Finnish-Norwegian-Swedish cooperation project that will focus on supporting small scale tourism companies in becoming more VISIBLE BY USING STORYTELLING AS A MARKETING TOOL. The project is intended for companies located in Northern Norway, Finland and Sweden.

By being part of this project, companies can get 1) competence in storytelling production as a branding tool, 2) access to bespoke consultation from experts within the various themes, 3) digital tools/platforms, 4) digital marketing, 5) cross-border network, 6) visibility at digital platforms (websites, apps).

Project activities includes:

- 3 workshops lasting 2 days each where the following themes will be covered:
1) discovering and building a company's core story - this workshop will be in Storslett in Norway October 2020.
2) digital story production - the workshop will be in Tornio in Finland May 2021.
3) digital marketing and distribution - the workshop will be in Haparanda in Sweden October 2021.

- Consultation: companies get access to consultation from experts within the various fields in addition to business development advisers in the various countries.

Cost of participation in the project is € 300 in addition to hours companies need to use in the project. The €300 covers attendance at 3 workshops lasting 2 days each, transportation to/from the workshops and access to bespoke consultation.

All companies within the tourism industry are welcome to apply to be part of the project. After the deadline, the project team will make a selection of 10-15 companies from each participating country to be part of the project. The selection will be made based on a number of criterias such as:

1. Size of company (the project is intended for small scale companies)
2. Business area (the project aims at having a variety of companies within the tourism sector)
3. Motivation of the company to be part of the project
4. Company intention to be part of all project activities
