Lapland UAS will continue online teaching until the end of the spring semester 2020

The UAS premises may be used after May 14th by following safety instructions.

Lapland University of Applied Sciences will continue online teaching until the end of the spring semester 2020, following the recommendation given by the Finnish Government. The ongoing courses have commenced online and will continue as planned for the remaining few weeks of teaching period, i.e. no contact teaching will be arranged.

The UAS premises may be used for teaching after May 14th 2020 for such courses where the use of simulation and laboratory facilities is absolutely necessary. It is also possible to organise exams and other competence-based tests for small groups of students, or individual students on campus, provided they cannot be organised online.

Laboratories and development facilities may be used after May 14th 2020 by following safety instructions concerning RDI activities.

In all use of the premises, one must follow the running restriction on gatherings (maximum of 10 persons), ensuring safe distance, and thorough hygiene.

The UAS first phase entrance exams will be organised June 4th 2020 as digital online exams. The date and information on practical arrangements regarding the second phase entrance exams will be announced during the month of May 2020.

Information on the LUC Library services during the spring semester 2020 will be given later this week.

We are following the national decisions and guidelines during the state of emergency. We will notify of instructions on studying and working as the situation progresses.
