Lapland UAS received great deal of applicants

Lapland University of Applied Sciences received a great deal of applicants during the applying period over the spring


The joint applying period for this year’s English speaking bachelor programmes was held during 7th of January to 11th of February.

There were four bachelor programs to select from: DP in Business Information Technology, International Business, Nursing and Tourism which all received roughly 25 applicants for each openings and from those applicants who had prioritized Lapland UAS as their number one pick, there are roughly five applicants for each openings.

Tourism received the most applicants

The most popular degree programme this year was Tourism in Rovaniemi which offers 20 study spots and had 787 applicants and 184 of those had prioritized Lapland UAS as their study location.

Degree Programme in Business Information Technology (BIT) had 543 applicants and 93 of those had prioritized Lapland UAS as their study location. BIT offers 25 openings for next semester in Tornio.

Applicants looking for receiving BBA with Degree Programme in International Business had 615 applicants and 120 of those had selected Lapland UAS as their preferred study location. International Business offers 40 openings in Rovaniemi.

The Degree Programme in Nursing that is being taught in Kemi with 20 openings had 631 applicants and 134 of those had selected Kemi as their prioritized location of the study.

Entrance exams

In the next phase of the procedure the applicants will be invited to the entrance exam that will be held in the end of April.
Lapland UAS is also part of FinnIBS-network that is organizing entrance exams in: Bulgaria, Brazil, China, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Kenya, Nepal, Poland, Russia, Turkey and Vietnam.
