Lapland UAS had important visitors from International Institute of Business Education in Murmansk

Representatives from Russian university, International Institute of Business Education in Murmansk, were warmly welcomed to Lapland UAS.

Anzelika Krastina, Lapland UAS senior lecturer and expertise in international projects host the guests through the day. Guests had informative meeting and discussions with Reijo Tolppi, Vice-rector,Kaisa Lammi, Head of DP, Teresa Chen, Head of International office at the school of Business and Culture. At the end of the day guests moved to IBL classroom for interesting discussion about future cross-border cooperation together with Lapland UAS.

Team leader of IBL, Nikita Litvinchik represented the InnoBarentsLab operating model to the guests. Nikita also introduced some of the successful projects and possible future project produced by IBL such as, “Northern Star Seminar”, “Give Back to Finland”, “The Arctic Business Forum”, “Restaurant Day” and many other.

The most valuable factor for Lapland University of Applied Sciences students involved with IBL, is to get real life business experience.

Murmansk International Institute of Business Education representatives were interested in “Give Back to Finland”-project and suggested continuing such wonderful project. In addition, they shared their own experience and gave advice for the next project. All the participants agreed that business students have to do lots of development processes, innovations, different projects and just gain new experience of life if you want to become successful business expert.

Guests were very interested to strengthen the cooperation together with Lapland UAS. Both sides realized that they would like to organize more meetings among students from Rovaniemi and Murmansk. The discussion was fruitful and we hope that in the nearest future we will have active and well working cross-border collaboration together with Murmansk University.
