International MBA degree group meets in Tornio
Twice a year, students of the International Business Management (IBM) programme leading to a master’s degree in Business meet in Tornio for a seminar week. The rest of the studies are completed online.
New students who started their MBA degree programme this autumn have a seminar week in Tornio from 28 August to 1 September 2017. The students come from nine different countries ranging from Canada to Cameroon and from the Netherlands to the Philippines.
The week’s programme features an introduction to the curriculum and study contents as well as practising to use tools and applications relevant to online learning and the library’s remote services.
The students also get to hear experiences from graduates of the degree programme and have opportunities to get to know each other and network as a group. The week also marks the start of the actual studies, and the students will present the results of their first group assignments at the end of the week.
IBM is the only master’s degree programme in English offered at Lapland UAS. The teacher responsible for the degree programme is Principal Lecturer Esa Jauhola, PhD.
