BRIDGE-project is looking for students
Here is an opportunity for you to experience alternate learning if your answers are “YES” to the following questions:
• Are you looking for more than just the usual classroom studies?
• Do you have workable English language skills?
• Are you comfortable working online with others, especially using the MS Teams?
• Would you like to experience working with international students from Russia and Norway?
• Are you willing to go on a week’s trip (all paid for) to Petrozavodsk, Russia during week 41 (4-10.10.2020)? **
• Do you have a valid passport?
The BRIDGE project is jointly implemented by five universities from Russia, Norway and Finland providing a platform for students to work collaboratively across border for the regional commissioners, with the aim to increase the students’ employability. We have already had three implementations in Tornio (spring 2019), Vardø (autumn 2019) and Murmansk (spring 2020). You may find details on the project website https://kolarcticbridge.com/ The next implementation will be held in Petrozavodsk and please read about the commissioners in the attached file.
Students from all disciplines are welcome to apply, as various kinds of expertise are required in the project. Thus far we have had participants from business, ICT, engineering, nursing, forestry and tourism.
The autumn semester project will be implemented during September-November 2020. This could easily be part of your own semester studies for which you could have an agreement with your own teachers. Students who successfully accomplish the semester’s tasks will receive 5 ECTS.
If you are interested in joining the project, please write back in response to this email and submit your application as to why you are eligible. Your application must reach me by 28 May, 2020 18:00 at the latest. There are only 8 places available therefore the sooner you act the better. Short-listed students will be called for interviews and, selected students will be informed about their own cases and tasks around the beginning of June 2020.
