Arctic eXtravaganza - a night to remember

It was a Gala evening, the annual fancy event which was held already for the Xth time but it was the first gala celebrated outside MTI campus - in restaurant Oppipoika Rovaniemi.

“Arctic eXtravaganza” was Gala’s name and the theme implied extravagance in each and every guest and charming winter beauty in our arctic environment.

Besides decorations and atmosphere, arctic theme maintained in wonderful menu, created by Lapland UAS Finnish programme students of Hotel and Restaurant Management which included traditional Lappish dishes performed in a very extravagant way.

Gala programme organisers, the exchange students and the students of English Degree Programme in Tourism, were also extravagant with their programme. One of the competition was held in Instagram, and users may still see the pictures competed by #arcticextravaganza hashtag in the application.

Organisers hope that the guests enjoyed the fine dining and had fun during the evening! They are also looking forward to the next gala and wish good luck for the next year organisers!
