The organisation and implementation of individual mobility between Europe and Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan) through a structured consortium and programme, supporting the Central Asian HEIs in their efforts to modernise both teaching methods and governance. The project foresees to transfer models and good practice that are adapted to the local needs, and to verify their regional implementation during the project life cycle. The gained knowledge and expertise by the mobile Central Asian individuals is expected to support the modernisation of education and the on-going democratisation process. The overall aim is to realise student and teaching staff exchanges respecting quality indicators. These indicators must guarantee the positive impact of the mobility, the sustainability of the results, e.g. future project cooperation and joint degrees, and the dissemination of the expertise. A strategic plan and close cooperation with regional associates is foreseen to attract participants of Target Groups II and III. All expertise, major documents and project publications will be published and distributed internally through an open-source virtual environment called Dokeos and a more limited version on a public website. CD-ROMs will be widely distributed. |
