Safety

Everything at Lapland UAS starts from the well-being of students and personnel, the safety of work, the systematic progress of studies, and the fluency of RDI activities.

The work is guided by the instruction implementation plans, the ensured progress of RDI activities, and the fluency and accessibility of services. Multi-site work instructions outline the way in which work at the office and at home can be combined flexibly and communally without discrimination.

Safety training, information sessions, and exercises are arranged for personnel and students, enabling them to recognise threats and to prevent accidents. This also ensures that people have enough skills to act in a situation involving an accident or threat.

In the event of an emergency, we follow the general safety situation and authorities’ instructions.

Safety instructions on the campuses

Safety instructions are to be followed when working and studying in the premises of Lapland UAS.

Maintain proper hand hygiene. You must not enter the campus when you are sick or have respiratory symptoms. You may use your own judgement about wearing a face mask.

A safety plan must be drawn up for events. To plan an event safely, send email to the Preparedness Team at turvallisuus@lapinamk.fi.
