FRee-choice electives and cross-institutional studies

The curricula for education leading to a UAS degree include free-choice elective studies, the scope of which is specified in the curriculum. Each student may choose free-choice elective studies based on  their own professional goals in accordance with their individual study plan (ISP).

At Campusonline.fi you can find a selection of online courses offered by more than twenty Finnish universities of applied sciences. You can choose courses from another university of applied sciences and include these studies into your degree. The courses are 100% online: just enroll and complete the courses conveniently regardless of place and time.

Through Campusonline.fi, you can complete studies year-round. There are three semesters:

• Spring, enrollment opens in November
• Summer, enrollment opens in March
• Autumn, enrollment opens in August

In addition, Non-stop courses are available year-round and across semesters.

The courses are free of charge for degree students (Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree), exchange students at universities of applied sciences and for path students at Open UAS.

Lapland UAS degree students and Open UAS study path students enroll for Campusonline courses offered by Lapland UAS in Peppi.

Transferring study attainments

Study attainments completed at other UAS’ are transferred to Lapland University of Applied Sciences by filling out this form. With this form, you can transfer study attainments completed at another UAS, which were previously transferred via Puro service. These studies are:

To fill out the form you will need a link to your study attainments. You can create the link in My Studyinfo -service. 

Creating a link in My Studyinfo-service

Log in to My Studyinfo-service. NOTE: this website is only in Finnish. Go to My completed studies and click Proceed to studies. You can access these services in My Studyinfo only by logging in via Suomi.fi e-Identification with Finnish online banking credentials (e-identification must be enabled), a Finnish electronic ID-card or mobile certificate. Identification methods for foreigners in Suomi.fi e-Identification are not currently supported. If you can't use My Studyinfo, ask for a transcript of records from the UAS you have completed your studies in. Attach the transcript of records to your form.

Select Jaa suoritustietoja (Share data)

Select the study information you wish to share and click on Jaa valitsemasi opinnot. (Share selected study information).

The site creates a link to the studies you have chosen. Click Kopioi linkki (copy the link) and add the link to your form.

Degree students of the universities of the Lapland University Consortium (Lapland UAS, University of Lapland) can take courses offered by the other member university. The available studies are basic studies and Open University studies. Studies are free of charge if included in the student's degree.

The available studies can be found in study guide. The study guide contains more specific information of the implementations and enrollment. Please keep in mind that most of the consortium studies are in Finnish, unless stated otherwise.
