Students are insured in study-specific circumstances when engaging in activities complying with the curriculum or degree requirements. These activities include the following:
• theory instruction
• practice instruction comparable to work
• on-the-job learning
• practical training
• competence-based qualification or
• familiarisation with the job market in core studies
Only practice instruction, on-the-job learning, and practical training sessions involving a significant risk of injury are considered comparable to work.
How to proceed when you have an accident?
Report the accident to teaching personnel at once. If possible, contact your Student Coordinator before visiting a doctor and make an insurance claim. Once you have made the claim you are given an insurance certificate, whereby you don’t have to pay for your treatment. If you cannot make an insurance claim before the doctor’s visit, you can also do it afterward.
