Study units AND study modules in OPEN UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES

• Activate your user credentials after receiving an email from the IT user administration about a week before the start of your studies at the Open University of Applied Sciences. The activation is done using online banking credentials or a mobile certificate. Please also keep an eye on the junk mail folder of your email. The message may go to junk mail. 
 
• All students will be given user credentials and an email account. You can use your user credentials to log in to, for example, Peppi, the Lapland University of Applied Sciences’ email, Moodle and the databases and wireless network of the Lapland University Consortium Library. 
 
 
• If you do not have online banking credentials or a mobile certificate or if you encounter problems activating your user credentials, please contact the Student HelpDesk. 
 
• If you have valid user credential at the University of Lapland or the Lapland University of Applied Sciences, new user credentials will not be created for you, but you will use your existing credentials.  
• Please note that you will need a personal computer for your studies and that the university email address will be used in the studies. 

The schedules and contents of the studies can be found in the Peppi system. The link to the system can be found in the confirmation message you received when you enrolled. If you have not received a confirmation message, please contact avoinam@lapinamk.fi. 

The schedules of the study units can also be found in Lukkarikone. If you cannot find the schedule, please contact the teacher of the study unit.  

• Once you have activated your user credentials, you can log in to the Peppi system.  
• In Peppi, you can view, for example, the details of your study rights and your credits (Peppi instructions) 
• Please note that Open UAS students will show up as accepted when they enrol for the implementations (= courses), i.e. open university students do not enrol for the implementations themselves. 
• If you have any problems using Peppi, please contact the Peppi support by email: peppi-tuki@lapinamk.fi  

If you need to submit a statement of your studies to an authority, please send a pre-completed form by email to avoinamk (at) lapinamk.fi as an encrypted email. Instructions for sending an encrypted email can be found here 
 
If you only need a certificate of student status, you can save/print it from the Peppi system using the following instructions Peppi - Lapland UAS 

The Moodle workspaces for your studies will open 6 days before the start of the studies. The University of Applied Sciences student email (edu.lapinamk.fi) will be used in the studies, so follow it regularly. If you have any questions about the content or schedule of a study unit, please contact the teacher of the unit. 
Before starting your studies, please familiarise yourself with the learning environments and systems used at the University of Applied Sciences using Digital Start 

• Log in to Lapinkampus Moodle
• Chooce the Moodle link below for the "Digital Start" https://moodle.eoppimispalvelut.fi/course/view.php?id=16420 workspace.
• Log in with your school network account.
• Upon your first login, you must agree to the Terms of use.
• Click the “Enroll me” button.
• After that, the course can always be found, after logging in to Moodle, on your Dashboard page. From then on, you will find the Moodle login page at https://moodle.eoppimispalvelut.fi
• If you encounter problems related to the eLearning environments, you can get assistance from the eLearning services on-call support staff, whose contact information can be found at https://eoppimispalvelut.fi
