Lapland UAS has a bilateral agreement with Australian Catholic University (ACU). We have only one place for the exchange in year to the ACU (the amount of the places is reviewed annually). More information about the exchange destination and study offering you can find from ACU web page.
Lapland UAS study and travel grant.
Check if you can get some grants from KELA.
Notice that the exchange grant does not cover all the expenses of the exchange!
Semester 1 (February - June) 1.9.-1.10.
Semester 2 (July - November) 1.2.-1.3.
Notice that, if the place for the exchange is filled in Semester 1, then there is no places to Semester 2.
Before the exchange
Start planning your exchange well in advance. Familiarize to the exchange destination, study program and costs.
Contact International Services for counselling.
Check the exchange university’s courses with the Study councellor. Write a Learning Agreement (LA). LA will be signed by the Study councellor and student.
Make your SoleMOVE application.
If there is more than one applicant, international services will decide who can apply to the exchange.
Based on the following criteria: academic performance, the amount of the completed credits, motivation and language skills, if necessary, also an interview.
After your SoleMOVE application is accepted, Lapland UAS International services will nominate you to ACU.
ACU will sent you their application forms and have all required appendices (for example passport copy, passport photos, motivation letter, CV). Deliver forms and documents to the international services.
ACU will contact you and send you the Letter of Acceptance and signed LA.
Apply for the Lapland UAS Grants in SoleGRANT programme.
- You need The Letter of Acceptance and LA (signed by all parties) as an attachment to your SoleGRANT application.
Familiarize yourself with the Exchange Student’s Check List and the exchange destination and prepare yourself well for the trip!
During Erasmus+ Exchange
Usually students make small changes to their studies. Always discuss with the study councellor about the possible changes to make sure that they are applicable for your studies.
Changing your study plans requires ALWAYS a document Changes to the original learning agreement. For this document remember to have the signatures from the exchange university and scan it to International Services (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Read your Lapland UAS email! All communication from home university takes place through Lapland UAS’ email!
Contact the International Services if you face problematic situations during your exchange.
Exchange must not be discontinued or terminated earlier without discussing the matter with the International Services.
After Erasmus+ Exchange
Before leaving ask the host institution for a signed Letter of Confirmation (Recognition Outcomes - The Receiving Institution form page 1) and return it to SoleMOVE immediately after the exchange.
In SoleMOVE fill out the After exchange interleaf and Feedback interleaf.
Host university sends the Transcript of Records to Lapland UAS’ International Services. International Services informs when you can pick up the transcript of records and start the credit transfer process. If you receive it personally, you must download the Transcript to SoleMOVE.
