MY GLOBAL STORY - INTERNATIONAL KNOWLEDGE DURING YOUR STUDIES

All students of Lapland University of Applied Sciences (Lapland UAS) have a possibility to gain international experience abroad in long study and training period, short exchange period or by participating home internationalization (International Student Ambassador, International Student Tutor etc.).

International activities gives you language and culture knowledge, and also lot of International potential to your career. Explore different possibilities and find a way for you to get International expertise!

Application period for exchanges

Application periods for exchange studies.

Erasmus+, Bilateral & Magellan:

Main application period: 1.2.-1.3. (For autumn and spring semester)
Additional application period: 1.9.-1.10. (For remaining places in the next spring semester)

North2North (N2N) & Health Africa:

Application period: 1.1.-15.2. (For autumn and spring semester)

Training exchanges

Mainly non-stop application (except training places offered by the partner universities)
Note! Start the paper works 2 months before the training starts.

Note! Due to Covid-19 situation, study and training exchanges are possible if the travel and entry regulations to the exchange destination country allow and other instructions of the authorities are followed.

Learning agreement WORKSHOP

Are you planning for a study exchange or training period abroad during the academic year 2024 – 2025?

The application call is opening in January – February 2024. For the detailed information, please see My Global Story (lapinamk.fi).

Come to the Learning Agreement Workshop to plan your exchange application, prepare the study plan (learning agreement) and ask about the possible exchange destinations, if you are still pondering where to apply.

During the workshop, we will help you with filling in the learning agreement form and also discuss about the issues to consider when choosing the exchange destination.

Orientation for the students going for an exchange period

Orientation is for students who are going to be on exchange during spring semester 2024.

The participation is compulsory for all students going for an exchange.

The orientation I (in English)

Will be on Tuesday 24th of October 2023 at 14.30-16. Online in Teams.

On Monday 27.11.2023 at 14-15 Culture Shock and Cultural Adaptation lecture by Jörn Severidt, University of Lapland. Online in Teams.

Long study or training exchange period abroad

You can make your dreams come true and go long study or training exchange abroad. International Exchange is supported by various grants. Exchange studies and training should be planned very carefully so your studies progress in schedule and completed studies are accepted fully to your degree. All students going abroad should have a sufficient language proficiency to complete the planned study and/or traineeship period. It is also good to remember that the mobility period can be an ideal option to develop and deepen the existing language skills.
