Previous summer schools

Lapland University of Applied Sciences is organizing a “Summer School on Arctic Cooperation and Cross-Border Expertise” in Tornio, Finland. Through the co-operation with our international partner universities, we can now provide interesting academic opportunities for lecturers and students from all over the world.

Nowadays, knowledge has become a very valuable resource, but in terms of our fast-developing world the ability to use the existing knowledge correctly has gained crucial importance. For Lapland University keeping up with the times has also been a main priority. This is why while designing our Summer School plan a huge focus was made on work with the real company cases, which do business all around Finland. This way, our students gather not only to get theoretical knowledge but also support it with a real project experience.

Through group tasks, our students develop such important features as creativity, leadership, ability to share the duties, teamwork and international networking. All the lecturers have practical experience in their subjects.
Summer School on Arctic cooperation and cross-border expertise contains the following modules:

Cross-Cultural Management 10ECTS
Digitalization and ICT-Services 10ECTS
International Marketing 10ECTS

Of course the summer is also a time to relax and wind down. This is why we do not only offer interesting and informative courses, but also leisure time activity schedule, which includes trips around the Finnish Lapland area, cultural events, such as concerts as well as trips to Finnish companies in order to learn more about business in Finland
