Lapland University of Applied Sciences - the northern factor

With main campuses located in Rovaniemi, at the Arctic Circle, and in Kemi and Tornio in the Sea Lapland region, universities in Lapland are international and multidisciplinary. Every 5th student on campus is international.

Universities of applied sciences produce experts in development tasks of working life.

Bachelors' degree programmes

In Lapland UAS there are four Bachelor’s degree programmes conducted in English. In January in 2020 there will be two applicable degrees: International Business and Tourism.

The application period for Bachelor Degrees is 8 - 22 January 2020 Applying.

  • Application Period for Transfer student 1 - 15 May and 1 - 15 November
  • Application Period for Separate right to study 1 - 15 May and 1 - 15 November
  • Application Period for Open UAS Path Studies 1 - 15 May and 1 - 15 November

Master´s degree program

After a BBA degree and three years of working experience, you can study to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 1½ to 2 years as on-line studies basically from anywhere in the world. Read more about applying.

Application Period for studies starting in autumn 2020 is in spring 2020.


Exchange studies

Degree programme students of Lapland UAS’s partner institutions, who wish to do part of their studies at Lapland UAS, can apply for exchange studies. Lapland UAS offers wide selection of courses in English as well as practical training possibilities in some study fields. Read more on Exchange Studies.

Application twice a year: deadline for the autumn semester is 3 May and for the spring semester 25 October.

Most supportive scholarships

All Finnish institutes of higher education will adopt tuition fees in their English-language education programmes in autumn 2017.

The fees will apply to higher education degree students who are not citizens of the EU, EEA or Switzerland.
