Travel and Tourism Management
A 60 ECTS credits programme in Travel and Tourism Management is a cooperation between the University of Tromsø in Norway, Lapland University of Applied Sciences in Finland, and Northern Arctic Federal University in Russia. It is part of University of the Arctic (UA) and it is the first program in the area of Travel and Tourism for the UA.
It is given as a part time on-line study, i.e. a one-year program at 60% speed. The program will start again in September 2016 and finish in December 2017. All lectures and course work are conducted on-line, via Lapinkampus Open Moodle, so your location is of no influence on your study opportunity.
The program can be a single 60 ECTS credits programme on its own and it is suitable for those who are going to work in tourism enterprises or tourism administration organizations. It can also be a part of a Bachelor degree programme, combined with a two-year program of your own choice (the combination of courses has to be accepted by your university). Admission requirements are the same as for traditional university studies, but a good command of English is important, as all lectures and student work are conducted in English. For details see Apply.
Students from Finland send the application form to Lapland UAS:
